Flower Mound, TX- The most recent perfectgame.org rankings list Flower Mound High School as the ninth best team in the nation. After a 13-3 start to season, the Jaguars are averaging nearly six runs per game while their pitching staff boasts a collective ERA of 2.75. Flower Mound pitchers have already thrown a combined five shutouts this season.

Head coach Danny Wallace earned his 500th career win last week in Tuesday's 8-2 victory over Allen High School. With a roster which includes seven collegiate signees, it is expected that many more victories are in store for Wallace's clubhouse.

Those victories will not come easily, given that eight of perfectgame.org's top 50 teams reside in Texas. Behind Coppell High School, Flower Mound is the second-highest ranked team from the Lone Star State on the list. In the latest rankings, released on March 15, Coppell is seeded as the top team in the nation. The two teams are not scheduled to face each other during this year's regular season.

Flower Mound collegiate signees include seniors Skyler Cox (McLennan Community College), Zach Eggers (Old Dominion), Caleb Kilan (Texas Tech), Parker Scott (Kentucky), Jonathan Smithey (Northeastern State), Nick Thornquist (McLennan Community College), and Derek Wells (Cisco Junior College).

Flower Mound's next game is scheduled for tomorrow against McKinney Boyd High School. The hosting Jaguars will throw out the first pitch at 7:00 PM. McKinney Boyd currently holds a 10-7-1 record.
