Jaguar Baseball Players Support Lovepacs During Holiday Season

December 15, 2016

The Jaguar Baseball program would like to thank everyone who contributed to the recent Lovepacs holiday season giving project. With the generous donations from Jaguar Baseball players, parents and fans, we were able to send food home for 30 LISD students for the Christmas break. There are 165 students who have been identified within the West LISD zone who are in need of nutritional assistance this holiday season; and our players have been able to help to make 30 of these kids' Christmas breaks more enjoyable.

The generosity was overwhelming, so much so that the program raised an extra $200 that will be used to support a young child's Christmas this year. Presents will be purchased and delivered to make one child's Christmas wishes come true.

"We are blessed as a program to have had this opportunity to serve, and it is even more of a blessing when we can join together to share with others who are less fortunate. Thank you all for helping to make these community service projects successful," said Kathy Landers, mother of senior player Kyle Landers (Class of 2017), who worked closely with the players to organize the giving activity.
